Out in the new year, this is a track with a twist!
For starters, each artist will be performing blindfolded – well, its audio equivalent.
Based on the game ‘consequences’, each artist will add their bit without knowing what’s gone before. The track will be built, layer upon layer – with drummers kicking off the process, followed by bassists, synths, guitarists, and finally, vocalists. Think Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound.
Beth Ditto, The Enemy, Pearl Lowe, Paul Weller, Supergrass, Graham Coxon, New Young Pony Club, Drew McConnell, Andy Rourke and Ed Harcourt will be in the studio from the 5 November creating this piece of history.
And to ensure that the process doesn’t end in an almighty mess, top producer Paul Epworth will be working with them to create something credible from the chaos.
